I have scissors/yarn/shoes/dust in my pack and I have no idea how to use it. PVP is good, but it isn't easy to invite (no click, you have to type the name out). This may change in the future with more maps. There are three per side, but they aren't super huge. Some people don't like the idea of having to play the game twice to get better gear. The modes have to be unlocked (which is the unpopular bit), so you have to play a normal character til lvl 50 to unlock Hard level and play a Hard character to Level 60 to unlock Ultimate mode. They're are four modes of play: Easy, for people who play briefly and just want to visit and maybe MMorpg virgins (and has a level cap of 30), Normal for experienced players, Hard for more serious gamers (with better gear and better levelling -but still free) and Ultimate for hardcore (if you die, you die permanently, but you can buy a rez stone for rl cash). Playing Modes: Some people don't like, some people do. I've seen three in a week (which compares favourably with every other game I've played).Ībility to trade items with the other side (unlike wow) via a 'black market'Īgain, unlike WOW, you can learn, over time, the language of the other side. Graphics are nice, though the ground brushing could be a little better. Option to Level via Quests: Most of the quests are well rewarded which takes most of the grind out of levelling.
There is a bar along the bottom of the screen and the fuller it is, the more your Goddess is pleased with you and life is a lot easier (better xp, slightly better drops, etc) and the only way to please your goddess is to destroy the enemy. Most of the classes seem balanced (mages being an exception - too many classes can 'own' them up close). Can be challenges or Light vs Fury in Battlegrounds which are level limited (1-15, 20-30, etc) so you won't be necessarily battered from the beginning). There are two Fury races and two Light races and they have 8 classes each (tho they are analogues). Basically it the forces of Fury and Light against each other. Most of the players speak English and there are no bots. The list, incomplete is: WoW, shadowbane, AO, Regnum Online, Perfect World, Wurm Online, Maple Story, Star Sonata, Planeshift, etc.
